In February 2022, my life veered in a direction that I could not have foreseen. I saw an atrocity that I could not ignore - the war in Ukraine. Since then, I have spent every day working with numerous animal rescue groups and individual rescuers to help injured, starving, and abandoned animals in war torn Ukraine.

I started the Ukraine Emergency Animal Relief Fund as a way to try and make a difference for the innocent animals caught in the middle of an unjust war. Combining my 25 years of animal rescue experience in my hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, with my nine years of non-profit management helping Boston's homeless, I forged connections with other like-minded individuals across the world, raising funds to support courageous Ukrainian animal rescuers.

Over the last two years, we have made a dramatic impact - raising over $150,000 to fund critical animal rescue efforts and supporting over 300 verified Ukrainian Animal Rescuers. Thousands of animals are alive and now being cared for because of the compassionate people who have joined us on this cause.

Our mission is to Raise funds for to assist Ukrainian animal rescuers with the following:
 

• Food for starving animals

• Emergency veterinary care for injured or wounded animals

• Transportation costs of animals into safety or for goods / services

• Spay / Neuter initiatives

In supporting this mission, you will help us get starving dogs trying to eat rocks off of the streets and into foster homes. You will aid in getting cats who were found buried under the rubble of their home to the vet for treatment. You will help frightened and recently orphaned animals wandering the streets injured by Debris and Bombs. You will be helping that Individual Rescuer who has gone without eating or sold personal possessions, solely to help the animals in their care.
