Some days, 100 animals per day are evacuated by 12 Guardians (12 Вартових). It sounds like a lot, doesn’t it? It would be easy to become just a number, lost in the statistics. But every animal has a story, and Chrissy listens to them all and helps. On behalf of every saved soul, we are deeply thankful to Chrissy Joubert and Ukraine Emergency Animal Relief Fund for this steady support of frontline evacuations and rescues with first aid veterinary care, surgeries, and post-operative medical care during this bloody Russian war in Ukraine. This fund supports not only our OCCrew, but also 12 Guardians’ frontline evacuations, and the Antheus Canine Rehab. They also support the newly established Cat Space, a rehab center for frontline felines and one rescued raccoon named Rocky. For us, they are not just numbers or goals to reach, but individuals who want to live and love.

Hello to all you wonderful human beings out there that have committed to this cause. I’ve been in Ukraine for over 700 days with some time off in America. When I first came to Ukraine there were donations of food, money, and other supplies flowing into the country. Today it is completely different. There are a few of us that have stayed and haven’t forgotten why we came here in the first place. One can not do it alone. I couldn’t have accomplished my goals without the collaboration with you. Chrissy Joubert for one. Together we have fed and saved animals throughout Ukraine. All of us have our expertise and depend on each other to keep the wheels turning and the animals brought to safety. All I have to say is thank you to all!
